In this course, Special Topics, students will deepen their understanding of core problems in digital humanities and gain further experience in one or more of the methodologies learned in the core courses through the development of a digital project of their own choosing. With the help of the instructor, students will develop their own digital humanities’ project from start to finish. They will go through the whole process of defining a topic, identifying relevant literature, collecting data, choosing appropriate methods, analyzing/visualizing data, and presenting the results. In order to achieve this, students will meet an advisor each week to discuss their progress and comment on each other’s work.
